There is currently a global shortage of intravenous fluids. This shortage is impacting all sectors of the healthcare industry in Australia, including the WA Iron Centre as we are not able to order any intravenous Saline – a vital ingredient for iron infusions.
WA Iron Centre is still taking bookings, however we are experiencing longer than usual wait times for appointments.
We currently have limited stock of saline at the WA Iron Centre which will be sufficient for the near future. However, we are exploring alternative solutions to this issue and working hard to secure more stock.
