The WA Iron Centre is located at 374 Belgravia Street, Cloverdale Western Australia. Free parking is available on-site or along Belgravia Street.
How long will my iron infusion take?
Please allow an hour for your iron infusion appointment. This includes preparation, approximately 15 minutes for the iron infusion and 30 minutes observation after your infusion.
What should I do before the appointment?
Please let you nurse know if you have had an adverse reaction from any previous iron infusion. Continue taking all your normal medication, however, please stop taking any iron supplements at least 7 days begore your infusion. Please drink 2-3 glasses of water prior to your appointment. Eat as normal prior to the infusion.
What do I need to bring to my iron infusion?
Please bring your referral and medication with you to your iron infusion appointment. You may also wish to bring some reading material.
Do I need to fast for my iron infusion?
No, you do not need to fast. You may eat as normal prior to the infusion. Can I take my regular medications prior to having my iron infusion?

Is there parking on site?
We have ample parking within the WA Iron Centre and along the street. Parking is free.
Will I be able to drive after my infusion?
Yes, you can drive yourself to and from the appointment.
Should I continue to take my iron supplements after my iron infusion?
Please check with your GP before re-starting any oral iron tablets.
Can I have an iron infusion while pregnant?
Iron infusions should be avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, please discuss with our nurse.
